MasEase Cookies Policy
Last updated: 20th September 2025
Effective Date: September 25, 2025
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device for site functionality. We use first-party cookies only—no third-party trackers for marketing. Sessions cookies expire on close; persistent last up to 2 years.
Types of Cookies We Use
Strictly limited to essentials (no consent needed under GDPR Art. 5(3), but we provide transparency):
- Essential/Functional Cookies: For core operations, e.g.: Authentication (Google sign-in, session maintenance).
- Preferences (e.g., role-based views, quiet hours for notifications).
- Security (e.g., CSRF protection in forms). Examples: _masai_session (expires: session), _masai_auth (expires: 1 year).
- Performance/Analytics Cookies: Anonymized for insights (e.g., page views, response times via Supabase)—aggregated, no personal tracking. Opt-out available. No Google Analytics/Facebook Pixels; built-in only.
- No Marketing/Targeting Cookies: We don't advertise or retarget.
How We Use Cookies
To enable features like live Inbox kanban, calendar syncing, and subscription gating. Data helps improve (e.g., fix bugs from usage patterns)—never sold/shared.
Managing Cookies
- Consent banner on first visit (for non-essentials).
- Browser settings: Block/delete via Chrome/Firefox tools.
- Opt-out: Settings > Privacy > Cookies.
- Do Not Track (DNT): We honor signals.
Disabling may limit functionality (e.g., no login persistence).
Third-Party Cookies
Integrations (e.g., Calendly embeds) may set their cookies—governed by their policies. We minimize via API boundaries.
Updates
Notified via email for changes. Continued use accepts.

Cookie Policy — 2025 EU Compliance Updates
New EU Cookie Policy Banner & Consent (2025)
We use cookies and similar technologies (including local storage). On your first visit, you will be presented with a banner providing: Accept All, Reject All, and Set Preferences options—each equally prominent. Non-essential cookies (including analytics, integrations, and embedded content) will only load after express opt-in consent.
You can change or withdraw consent at any time via the 'Cookie Preferences' link in the footer or account/settings panel.
Essential cookies are processed under our legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)); all other categories require your prior explicit consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).
Cookie Categories & Table
Our cookies fall into these categories:
- Essential (strictly necessary): Required for basic operation and security; cannot be disabled.
- Preferences: Remember choices and settings (e.g., language, layout).
- Analytics: Help us understand site usage and improve performance (Google Analytics, Supabase Analytics, etc.).
- Integrations/Third-Party: Cookies set by external services (e.g., Calendly, Manychat, Fresha).

We audit and list any third-party set cookies in our full cookie list, available via the Cookie Preferences menu.
Recordkeeping and Audit
We maintain an auditable log of user consent records for at least five years and update our cookie policy and banner whenever new cookies are added or major third-party integrations change.
Material changes will be reflected in this policy and announced via site banner and/or email prior to activation.
How to Control Cookies
You can manage cookies—accept all, reject all, or choose granular settings—using the banner on first visit or anytime via 'Cookie Preferences'.
Changes take effect immediately, and no non-essential cookies will be set until express consent is given.
For browser-level controls, see your browser’s help, but note some technical limitations. We honor Do Not Track where feasible.
